LwnmwnMan2
I was out checking this morning, north metro from Vadnais Heights to North Branch.I checked bare ground as well as turf, on average I found ground temps to be 38 degrees at a depth of 3". LwnmwnMan2
Also, when you purchase a crabgrass preventer, look for a product that contains Dimension. This chemical is going to have post emergence effectiveness as well up to 2 tillers (blades of grass). This will allow you to wait for spreading along sidewalks and driveways until the rest of the property warms up.One last thought, if you didn't have an abundant amount of crabgrass previously, you most likely won't have a breakout amount this year either. Fisherman For a Lifetime
Thanks! Here's a question...... I have 3 acres in total sand. It took 5 years and 20 packed bags of hand (yes, hand) picked Sandburs to eradicate 2 of the acres. The one acre is the far back and LOADED with Sandbur seeds. I heard to put Crabgrass preventer fertilizer down in early June to prevent them from coming up. Is that true or is there a better way...? Thanks...
