Shotgun Sight

Hey I bought a sight for my son's 20 gauge and it is the style that you replace the front bead and has a triangle hood for the rear. When I have it installed and look down the barrel I see a lot of vent rib and it shoots 1.5 feet low at 20 yards. has anyone else had any problems with a sight similar than this? Just checking for ideas' it really doesn't allow me to adjust it so I think I am kind of stuck

Move the rear sight forward up the rib a bit to see if it improves. Since you're seeing a lot of the rib in your sight picture it sounds like you've mounted back where the rib starts to taper gradually to the barrel. I need to move the rear sight way back on my daughter 20 gauge as it shoots too high if placed up the rib.

At least that's the way I remember it.
