finnbay
Spent a little time again today, but still not much happening. So little open water. Did see a couple of great blue herons, but they were high enough I'm sure they had oxygen masks on. Did see a couple of hoodies, but they were spooky and couldn't get close enough for a crisp shot. Did have one turn out that I can use as an environmental: What little open water there was, was pretty: So took out my frustrations on juncos and chickadees: Oh well, a VERY pretty day to be out! mmeyer
It sure was a nice day. It's good to see you guys are getting some open water. Those are really nice shots Ken! I like the 2nd open water image the best!
MN Shutterbug
I agree, the second one is really cool. Of course, I never tire of looking at your birdies either.
jonny_redhorse
Nice shots Ken!...I always enjoy those "snow melt" shots each spring with the first flowing waters....there must have been a "massive migration" of hooded mergansers the last week or so as I've seen dozens of couples in the ditches up here,I think I've seen more hoodies then mallards so far which is unusual...love your chickadee image! You captured it perfectly!
