Anybody been to Camp Manitou??

Sorry, didn't mean to scare you. If my wife's Caddy with five guys, a boat, and supplies for a week can make it, your Minivan can make it. Just be careful and take it slow. You won't get stuck, but if you go too fast (the last two miles), you may remove parts from the bottom of your vehicle. The gravel road from 502 to the landing road is fine except for the logging trucks. The first time you pass one of those logging trucks, you'll know what I mean. After driving all night from KC and meeting one of those, you wake up quick!

He is right, Cedar Narrows road isnt all that bad. Just a normal gravel road with big rig's hauling wood out. Acouple things to remember and you'll be fine. Make sure to have a spare tire for both your car and trailor. Drive slow. Never wonder on the other side of the road, you never know when you will meet one of those logging trucks and it seems you will always meet them on the curves. Stay alert and you'll be just fine. Ive been on that road hundreds, if not thoasands, of times and Im still here. So it cant be that bad. Hope this helps.

Hoffer,

L+M is right, it is just a normal gravel road - in fact it is a very well maintained gravel road. It gets graded at least once a week in the summer and twice a week in the winter. You travel about 18 miles on the cedar narrows road once you turn off of 502. The landing road that Simlar is taking about (2 mi.) was graded and cleaned up last fall and is in very good shape right now.

I have hunting guests fly in to I. Falls and rent cars to drive up to the landing and they have no problems.

It is no different than any other logging road, trucks are hauling and you need to stay to the right.

Like Shane from L+M said we have traveled on the road hundreds of times and have never had an issue, neither should you.

We have lots of guests bringing boats and they bring everything from a 16 lund's to a 21 bass boats.

If you have any other questions about the area let me know.
