sparcebag
Yep the pier,no fishing allowed in beach areas,Please give us your take of the beach when you return! Go to the Marinea ask about 1/2 day boat trip, you'll go out on a 60-100 ft boat with others, fishing for a half or full day. They also rent rods free bait with paid trip. tisosy11
Well it was standard May Gray and there wasn't any sun on the trip until mid afternoon. Because of this cooler temperature the sights were not as good as I've heard they can be. We did end up going fighing. The chartered boat was called Bongos III, it was a boat for 6 people and we only had 4. It was great. The fishing was phenomenal...we spent 3-4 hours catching Bonitos one after another. It was a blast and we had caught so many constantly that we decided to try shark fishing. That wasn't as good but below are some pictures of the catch... I was doing my own thing just casting and catching! We nearly were getting a fish on each cast with 4 people fishing! We had some major bruising on our waists from the fight! The wife caught the biggest fish of the day! We caught about 20-25 bonitos that the captain estimated to be 10-15 pounders. It was a great time and definately a different way to spend Minnesota walleye opener!
