bmc
I hope the bird's make it through this blizzard OK. Today there were a couple junco's, house finches, and a lone robin at the feeders today. I'm glad I just refilled my 5 feeders and 2 suet feeders 2 days ago. The robin was eating seeds that the finches were knocking on the ground, I didn't know robins were seed eaters. I thought they just ate worms and some berries?Brian
Steve Foss
Birds seem to do fine in heavy snow, generally. It's when we get extremely cold temps and strong winds that it tends to take its toll. Most birds will eat whatever gives them enough energy to get through the cold. Seed eaters will eat insects and insect eaters will eat seeds. Birds, like most other wild animals, seem amazingly adaptable.
