Finally got some Carp!

Recommended Posts

So yesterday i headed out in search of some carp since Cabin Fever had a fresh stock of crawlers. The first few spots i tried were uneventful without even a bite. After a an hour or so of trying i packed it up and went to a different spot. The move paid off and i proceeded to 6 carp over the next hour and a half with the largest around 8lbs. Not huge, but they were more fun to catch than a sunfish through an 8 inch hole! I found the carp staging on the outside of a crick. There was no activity within the creek but they seemed to roaming around the outside. Hopefully they will begin the run up the crick sooooooon!

Nice goin' man. I'll bet that felt great to have something on the other end of the line that could put up a fight. Any colors on them? I've had some nice deep golds and red caudal fins lately.

Nope i went back there one other time with no luck so i decided to scout out some other spots. If you really want to know you can email me at [email protected] and ill give you the exact spot. Have you had any luck down at that spot yet?

I tried that spot again this last weekend for abit. It looked really good with a distinct mudline where the clear creek water hit the coffee creamer river. But I didn't get a nibble. I might shoot you an email.

Ben
