Sharptail Leks

I was hoping to make it to a sharptail lek this spring, but I couldn't remember which DNR office you called and where you went to do so. Can somebody help me out? Thief River Falls? Baudette? I know there are a couple places in NW MN.

Scott, that's likely the only one you'll be able to get on at this late notice. The DNR has a few. Closest one up here is run either out of the Cloquet or Eveleth office, can't remember which, but it's booked up by now most years. I'd definitely take CSP up on his offer.

here's a state DNR site to the info and phone numbers that just might help you out....all public knowledge but one probably should have "signed up" a year ago for reserving the lek blinds

Wow, my ignorance is on full display like a dancing male sharpie. One full year ahead for reservations...it's good there is that much interest. It's all those darn professional photographers, right Steve?
