Daze Off
Anyone skilled in making jig/spinnerbait skirts willing to spend some time on a weekend giving some pointers and showing others (me) how to make them?
Deitz Dittrich
Are you just talking silicone skirts?.. If so, its a piece of cake... I usually use 2 pads and then a skirt making tool is all that is needed..
Daze Off
Problem is I don't know what I'm talking about - rubber vs. silicone vs ??, etc. I got the tool and it looks easy enough to use but looking at the catalogs of skirt material make my start to spin. And, I have no clue on how many skirts a person could make with a certain amount of raw material, etc. Seems like there are many different lengths available for purchase, packaged in lots of different ways.Concept seems simple enough - put a collar over the tool and pull some strands through until you are satisfied and then slide to collar off. I just did not want to end up buying a bunch of product that I did not want in order to weed my way through till I got to what I did want.Over-all I just thought it might be a fun way to spend a few dreary winter hours talking about fishing and learning something new.
