West Metro Perch

Is there any lakes around the west metro that hold decent perch...I am not looking for any hot spots, but would like to try to find some perch and was wondering if there is any lake that I should try out...

I don't target perch in the Metro but I have occasionally run into some nice ones while fishing for sunfish or crappies. Nothing consistent or intentional, they've been pretty much an accidental catch. The schools seem to move, every time I've hit them I've had great perch action for about 30 minutes, but nothing before or after. Independence is one lake where I've run into this, the others are smaller, less known lakes that I don't want to name. Good luck.

Waconia has been kicking out some nice perch this year. Sometimes its just those little 3-4 inchers but if you get into a nice school you can catch keepers all night long.

Yeah - never had any luck on waconia...went out today and caught a bunch of 6-7 inchers. Looking for some jumbos - still haven;t found em.
