Clicking? That I'm not so sure of depending on what your definition of that is. There will be some extra noise in the lens when the IS is on, and that's normal.

By the way, great lookin' shots! I especially like the second one.

You and the lens seem to be a good pair. However, I've never heard my 100-400mm make any noise. And, I'm not deaf, yet.

My 100-400 sometimes, not always, makes a very quiet click when the IS engages. I've shot three other copies of that lens and some offer the little click while others don't. Seems to have no impact on image quality or lens performance, and I've been using mine hard for four years with no problems.

Thanks guys, the click just sounded kind of loud. I will try it for a few more days and then decide if I should send it back.
