Royal Dutchman
Talked the wife into getting a FL-18 (wasn't too tough). Now I need to know if I want a 9, 12, or 9/19 transducer? Please hurry before she changes her mind! Thanks!D & M
Northlander
Go with the dual. My friend has it and he sees a lot more than I do. Definetly go with the 18 over the 8! That split screen bottom lock is great for bottom huggers. Dont wait, go buy it Quick!

Guest
The duel 9/19 is the most flexible option. If you decide on only a single beam consider the 12. The 12 is a very good option for most lake and river situations. Not too narrow, not too wide. If you fish in a permanent shack, in deep water, and in very close proximity to other anglers then the duel will shine. The 9 deg beam will prove very Handy then. If you fish very sharp drop off's then the 9/19 will also shine.I find for most of my needs the 12 to be a very good all around option.Ed CarlsonBACKWATER GUIDING701-281-2300[email protected]...><,sUMo,>...[This message has been edited by Backwater Eddy (edited 11-08-2003).]
Guest
I think you should hold off on buying one right now! I would find a good friend who is a really nice guy and use his till at least Christmas. If you're really nice to him, maybe he'll give you some buckshot rattle spoons too!!Talk to You Later!Wally6156

fishbreath
When I bought my FL-18 pro pack I figured if spending this kind of bucks I'm going all the way duel beam, soft case and I'm glad I did.I keep it along side of my bed, in case I want to play with it and it never said no.
