Thats the great thing about bowfishing, you can spend as much or as little money to go. Just about any kind of bow will work, if you use a recurve make sure it is at least 45#. Or your hunting bow will work great. I have dedicated bows for bowfishing, the fishing can be really good in the fall and I don't want to keep changing my setup. Also bowfishing bows don't get treated well they can get covered in blood, slime, eggs or get droped in the lake.
