Check also the fuel filter.

As long as you are putting in a new diaphragm (fuel pump) you might as well do a thorough cleaning of the carb (clean everything, pull the jets out, etc).

Put all the parts out on a bench so you dont lose anything!

The number one problem with augers is.

The carb.

How can I say that?

Because the amount of total hours on that engine isn't jack squat.

In fact you'll never have enough engine wear to wear it out. confused.gif

However the carb will need to be cleaned and diaphragms replaced over and over.

Tecumseh changes carb models and manufacturers more then I do underwear! Its gotten to the point where they'll put their name on a walbro or tillotson carb. Well just enough to the point the carb is unidentifiable. SO getting documentation on a series of auger is a hair pulling experience.

Go to your auger manufacturers website and find your auger model and order a kit from them.
