DKL
Any reports on ice conditions at Sioux Narrows? Also, any Lake Trout fishing reports?Heading up in a few weeks and was wondering about lake access points and ice conditions. Thanks
Fred_Bear
I'll be staying in Sioux Narrows this weekend for the first time to hit the lakers hard. I've been to Crow many times but this'll be a first for me on Whitefish. I'll be back monday the 18th with a report and hopefully will have some nice photos to share also.I've never caught anything over 10 pounds on Crow before so I've been able to use lighter tackle... Will a Jason Mitchell 30" Walley rod be enough for the average laker on Whitefish or the smaller area lakes?
HnB
There's a good road into the middle of Whitefish Bay from Paradise Point Lodge. There's also a groomed and marked snowmobile trail that goes right by some good spots and leads into Kenora. The ice is over 2 ft thick in the middle where there's over 180 ft of water so you're good to go. Just got back from Sioux Narrows and pulled up 2 fish over 12 lbs between 10am and noon, 55 ft of water. Good luck
