Bass management

I know most bass fishermen are usually content with the fishing and don't bother the DNR but I think we need to get something in return for all the money they get from bass fishermen. I for one would like to see some of the money that is spent on Walleye stocking be spent on bass fishing. I live in southern MN and would love to see a nice smallmouth bass lake around where I live I think it would be nice if they would stock lake Tetonka with them or another lake down here. If you guys would like something done down in the Waterville area give the DNR fisheries in Waterville a call.

Great idea.

We asked to get another lake in kandiyohi county stocked with smallmouth and even thou it is largest shoreline area in fisheries district and has depths to 43 feet DNR wont even consider it.

Always thought Games Lake ,Norway lake chain with 27 miles of shoreline would be great.

I think we keep hearing that with climate change that perrimiter foe bass will overtake that of walleye.

I doubt it thou as I just looked at Walleye Central picture board and saw a lot of walleye hogs from Arizona,Nebraska atc.

Good luck on getting smallies down to your area

It has a few but not a real good population. There is not a lake around here with a real fishable population. Sure once in a while you can find were they are and fish them but the population is real low.
