Nope, European pike tend to be a little larger (note they have larger jaws more similar in size to a muskies) due to larger forage. Look how fat those pike in California were after gobbling up all those trout...

Seen that one about a hundred times in the last couple years. I've heard that it was caught in canada, europe, minnesota, and even that it was a photo shopped picture right when it came out.

those pics just will not go away..... i get them emailed to me about once a month. claimed everything from every lake you can think of. Esox Angler even did a big write up on the guy over a year ago. Evan Janns or something like that - either way that fish was not cought on mille lacs, or rainy - or lotw - or red - or anywhere else in this country.

I'm holding it in my avatar from Upper Red a few years ago, I threw it back so it could grow and another angler could catch it.

I know from good sources that is Ewout from across the big pond, where they grow some of hugest pike caught in some of the smallest waters. They get tankers in ten foot wide irrigation ditches over there!?
