Which is a better auger? Jiffys cost more but are better built (steel handle compared to plastic) I feel Jiffys turn too fast though, ones ive seen have problems breaking through bottom of ice. My father had a 3 horse jiffy for 20 years and it has never been right, some days it runs good some it doesnt. Carb and ignition have been replaced but no change. Taken it in to many shops and it comes back running good but doesnt last long then back to same old poor running thing, always starts but never really gets going. He bought a 2000 strikemaster 2 weeks ago and broke the handle 1st weekend. I have a mag III strikemaster but it through a rod bearing last night.
I know everyone is going to tell me to buy a nils but I dont think so.
