Trolling motor questions?

Hey guys and gals, I am looking for a trolling moter, perfer a transom mount type, to push my 1974 silverline tri hull. I am looking for something inexpensive/new. Which size and type would be a good one and do you recommend. thanks in advance the Perch.

Just a word of advice, you will get MUCH better power and handling with your boat if you go with a bowmount motor instead of a transom mount motor. In fact, I'd say chances are good that you will be quite UNHAPPY with a transom mount motor unless all you plan to do with it is slowly slip backwards with your boat. Good luck with whichever you decide.

Good thinking, I was trying to get by cheap by buying one that I could put on my little duck boat for waterfowl season with out having to modify the boat, but maybe that maybe the better way to go. thanks PerchJerker, the Perch
