Charging Battery in Wheel House

What does everyone use to charge their batteries in their wheel houses? I want to be able to power the lights/furnace while still charging the battery. I saw the converter that fish house supply carries, is this any different than just using an onboard charger off a boat?

I took an extension cord and cut off both ends. On one end I put clips for hooking up to your vehicles battery. The other end is just the wires. Have a set of clips in the shack to hook to your battery. I have a small hole in the side of the shack, near the battery. Run the wires through the hole and hook to battery. Run your vehicle for a while to charge. When not in use, put a cork in the hole, to keep out the weather.

Nothing fancy, but it works and the price is pretty good!
