Ely Spearing

I was wondering if anyone would be willing to tell me any good spearing lakes for northerns around ely. i started spearing last year and got a few, but nothing worth talking about. just want some action. thanks and good luck spearing!

I would start by checking out the local bait stores they might be able to give you water quality and stuff like that I am sure that they will not tell you where they are spearing at but they should give you a awesome start on where to begin looking for pike and clear water!!!

[Fish&Fowl]

Get on the DNR's HSOforum and look at the lake surveys for lakes in that area. You can find the types of fish, average sizes caught, water clarity, etc. very easily. When I went to school there, people speared on One Pine, though it's not very clear water. I think Birch has some nice pike in it too.
