Tackle Box Help

What tackle boxes/bags do you suggest?

I have about 50-60 lures total and would like something that also holds the unhooking gear.

I currently keep all my stuff in the big 3700 size boxes in Magnum Cabela's Bag as well as a 5 gallon bucket with notches for quick access. I checked out the big Lakewood bag at Joe's and it looks pretty good, but I figured befroe plunking down a bunch of $$ I'd check with the rest of you.

Thanks - erik

Hiya -

I personally really like the Dunwright boxes. I've had them for several years - they hold up, and are very practical and functional. Well worth the $

Cheers,

I use the green Flambeau box and love it. Got it on sale for thirty bucks. I figured why spend $100 on a box when I could spend the extra I saved on lures. They claim you can fit 100 lures, but you would be limited on size. I have a little over thirty and its just over half full. My buddies and I also stand on it regularly so I know it will hold up to at least 190 lbs.

Go with the Lakewood Monster Tackle Case. The new models are white on the inside so it is easier to see baits that fall. It also have tool storage sewn onto the outside for easy access. The box also has a large pocket on the outside to hold a plastic insert. They are very durable and come with a ten year warranty.

sorry to stray off box isssue but I have so many lures laying around besides the ones I use.

My daughters tennis coach gives me all the tennis ball clear plastic sleeves and they are really nice to keep lures from tangling and getting damaged

I have the old style Lakewood Monster box. I think I have about 70 or so lures in it, and it holds them just fine. I like the sewn-in holders on the side for my pliers, hook file, hook cutters, etc. It's a very well put togather, durable box. The Dunwright boxes look very nice also, and I like the fact that you can pull out the plastic dividers. I may consider one of those in the future.
