I have been thinking about getting a d40x for a little while now. I am by no means good at talking pictures nor would I ever think about using the Manuel settings. The thing I like about them is that they are bigger than the point and shoots. It just feels more comfortable holding an SLR! 10 mega pixels is more than enough for the pictures I take and the pricing is pretty reasonable.
