Cooter
Ended the season with a kill - short on guys, had just myself and my buds 12 yr old kid in the woods. The other two guys were nursing injuries. Had a long chase and while she was making a big loop, she was crossing our end of the section anywhere in a 1500yrd stretch. Toss in the hills, ravines, and recent logging and it was tough. I saw her about 6 different times and got one long shot with the .223 and missed. The dog more or less ran her out of gas, bless his heart. I finally got close and somehow sneaked enough No4 buck through the brush to end the day. The kicker was she only had 3 legs - one front leg missing near the shoulder, completely healed. Ran pretty good nonetheless! Also had a group find 8 pups in a den last week, a bit early but I've heard of it before.Quite sure that will be the end of the doggin for this season.
