Lake Trout

My first posting just before these forums went down was much more in depth.

I was up from Thursday to Monday. Skunked on Friday, limit on Saturday. This is me with a 32" and 30.5" Sled problems on Sunday (blown motor).

A buddy of mine with his 6 lber...

Ice was about 12" everywhere we drilled holes. Found a new HSOforum for our favorite area. PM if you're interested or ask Tony about it at the store in Morson.

We are considering a trip to the Sioux Narrows area in a few weeks. Where did you find the best lake access to be? Also, any areas that you would recommend fishing?

We stay at a friends cabin so I don't think I would be much help for lake access. I, personally, wouldn't drive a vehicle bigger than a snowmobile on the ice. I also assume since you posted here you want lake trout. Crow will give you more action, but Whitefish is supposed to have bigger fish. I'm pretty sure there are others for trout, but I've only fished Whitefish.

I had a great time up there last year on the trout opener. We stayed at MuskiE Bay on Crow. You will have some options from there.....
