Was thinking about applying for a Spring turkey permit. Mainly hunting in the northern central part of the state(zone 8). I have seen a few birds on some of the public land, I hunt for phesants. Any info on the odds of getting non resident tag, how much pressure the state land gets for turkeys,etc.

Biggest issue with IA is cost of license. Other states are much less.
