paint for a snowmobile?

i have an old snowmobile and would like to put a different coat of paint on the hood and dont want to spend much to do what would be the best cheap paint to use for this?

I assume you would be using a sprayer (auto paint type). I have found Menards will carry cheap paint that will work. Just tell them what you are doing and they will help you in the right direction. Follow the instructions on can for you r application (thinning). Another option in Napa or Bumper to Bumper.

You will most likely need some clear coat to go over paint after applied. Check it out on the internet on how to do it and practice on some wood before you spray. I hated rubbing out/sanding paint runs.

I painted the belly pan on mine last year, i used the Krylon fusion paint for plastics, comes in a spray can, and it held up real well. I had to touch up a few spots this year, otherwise it worked good.
