TommyJ33
Hopefully some of you can help me with theis trouble shooting question. I got a 1989 arctic cat Cougar. The lights, hand warmers etc, are not working. At first they would only work at higher idle or rpm and very dim at normal idle. But now they completly are kaput.Any trouble shooting tips?Is it the Stator or lighting coil? or could it be just a bad voltage regulator? could riding it though the slush on the lakes this year have caused this? Like fouled brushes on the stator/lighting coils?Any help would be great! Merry Christmas!

TommyJ33
got er fixed. It was a bad wire harness connector from the stator. A little cleaning and dielectric grease did the trick.
