I know it is illegal to clean fish while on the ice. But, can you bring fish already cleaned to cook while fishing? also,if you bring fish to cook and you have fish in the bucket are you illegal?

thanks

The fish you are cooking is considered part of your possession until they are consumed. If they aren't yet being cooked they have to have the skin on them. Beyond that it maybe a touchy situation. I would actually find out from the DNR the legallity.

It is NOT illegal to clean and fry fish on de ice, UNLESS there is a length or slot limit on a particular species, then you must keep them whole so they can be measured if nessecary. What you eat goes to your limit. For example: you cannot eat two walleyes, then take six more. Finally, it is illegal to leave the guts on the ice or dump em down the holes.
