the best thing you can do for a house like that would be to sew pockets all over the place, maybe some led lights that will clip on/off the poles. and maybe a mesh pocket on the ceiling to put coats, and other accessories to keep them out of the way. another decent mod that i did in my cabin style was to take a milk crate and cut out part of the bottom so that it can sit level over the seem of the house and i can put my heater on top and other things inside of the crate. and a computer fan on one of the top poles will work wonders for keeping in heat!

I put an outdoor carpet in mine. A heavier carpet not the marine carpet. Proably keeps it slightly warmer and a little heavier. The only prob I had was I caulked it in my basement and the little woman didnt like the smell. mad.gif I cut it in 3 strips, the middle and 2 sides. Just dont get your Treble hooked in it confused.gif

how long have you had the carpet in yours? and how well has it stood up to normal wear and tear? i have thought of doing this in my house but wasnt sure how well it would stand up or if it would start to get moldy.

Probably the best thing Ive done to my portable was buy two cargo nets and attach them to the ceiling supports and span it all across the top. It works great for not in use gear, coats, etc. I also drilled little hooks on the cross support members to hang rods that im not using also. Helps save space because im sure we all know how cluttered a portable can get with a few guys and all the gear we have acquired.
