MARKM
I have a '98 Ski-Doo Grand Touring 700 and was out for a little bit last night and the brake locked up. The lever was hard just like the brake was applied. So I loosened the bleed screw and it seemed to work but not wanting to risk it happening again I put the sled away for the evening. Does anyone have any thoughts on what would cause this? Thanks for the help.
beeonkey
I believe it has disc brakes and after sitting over the summer maybe the caliper slid pins rusted and the caliper is not sliding as it should. If it has thas the lever and ramp style check and see if the ramp is rust free and lubricated. If you lossened the bleed screw on your sled now you will need to bleed it after you find where it's binding. If you opened the system it now has air in it. That allowed the pressure to let the brakes off but did not solve your problem. Hope that helps.
