Lake Calhoun Swans

I stopped by Lake Calhoun in Mpls. during lunch and saw two trumpeter swans, a bald eagle, hundreds of geese & various other waterfowl. Most of the lake is frozen except for a small area in the NW corner where all the birds are. The water quality has really improved over the last 10 years and loons, swans & eagles have made regular stops there during migration. This might be a great opportunity for photographers to shoot swans with downtown Mpls. as a backdrop. Cool!
