Hey guys, After having someone feel he needed my fl8 more than i did last year i've been reading all the posts about the great debate on flashers. Found a lx3 on hsolist and unfortunatlly won.( after further reading i wanted a lx5)

To my question how would you know if you have the tru color upgrade?

hopefully i'll be happy and upgrade next year.by then there will the next greatest.

If it has the update the colors will be Red Green and Yellow. If it does not, it will be Red Orange and Yellow.

The LX-3 is a very good flasher, even without the upgrade!

The upgrade just makes it a little easier to read.

It should have the LX-3tc in the middle of the face of the flasher. tc stands for True Color.

I had the upgrade done on mine and they didn't change the middle of the face to say tc. I suppose it matters if it comes from the factory with the tc or if you sent it in.

Hey it's like big ds said as far as colors go. Mine was upgraded last year and then they discontinued the upgrading. But after being at the ice show oh ya I bought the lx-5 great deal. They told me that they are offering the upgrade again it was like $50.00 and they where pretty quick with the turnaround time last year. Give them a call and see what's goin on with it.

1. I think only the newest versions of the LX3's will be labeled TC3, it may be a TC if it was sent in for upgrade. Look for the green color.

2. Yes, they are again offering the upgrade for $50

3. If you really want the LX5, you shouldn't have any problems finding a buyer for the LX3 to offset the balance of additional cost.
