Big Julie
We had a really nice dinner with the prime rib. But..... I've been comparing the prime roast to rib eye steaks, and rib eye steaks just seem to be coming up ahead of the roast. Next year I may just whack that roast up into steaks and grill them separately. BLACKJACK
Good idea on the sirloin tip for practice!! I'm also hesitant to 'blow' $60 on a prime rib roast!!! In fact I did do a sirloin roast last summer and by luck it almost came out as good as prime rib!! Moist, tender, flavorfull!!
WaveWacker
Did 11.35 lbs on New Years Eve and it turned out perfect! Put in on the rotisserie and in the grill at 3:30pm. 3 burner grill with just the front and back one on low/med. had the temp at around 210 degrees. By 6:45pm it was all done. ~135 in the middle of the middle.
