They stick better to rear windows in the cold it seems. They are clear-- so they are perfecly legal in the lower right or left corner of the window. I could not get mine to Adhre to the tailgate, but since I have a crew cab on my truck it sits behind the rear passeneger headrest. Actually looks better on a window than a bumper anyways with the clear background.

Clean the surface and use a hair dryer to heat the area a bit, once you apply the stick use the hair dryer again to heat it until it sticks well. Don't get too close to the sticker as you may begin to melt the surface depending upon the type of material it is.
