MN Shutterbug
The first time thru the refuge, towards the end of the day, there were literally dozens of deer crossing the road and standing in the trees looking at us. Unfortunately, the light was getting pretty crappy by then. The first weekend in January, the refuge has a muzzle loading deer season. There is a drawing held many months prior to the hunt. Each hunter is allowed to shoot 3 does, and if they fill out their 3 doe tags, they then can get a permit for one buck. Evidentally, very few hunters get their three. There were 129 permits issued last year with only 135 deer shot. I understand the refuge is over populated. I did see one huge buck run thru the trees. Get this. In the spring is the snow goose season. There is no limit and no plug necessary in the shotgun. That would be a blast, literally.

MN Shutterbug
Thanks, guys. That was shot with my Panasonic. My 30D and lens won't be here until friday. Unfortunately, I may have a tough time finding much to try it out on, when it gets here. It's getting too danged cold to even go outside.
