Early flickity perch

how do you guys catch flickity perch?

do you use light poles?

what do you use for bait?

jig or slip bobbers?

For perch you almost always want the bait to be moving - lots of jigging with only brief pauses. That draws the fish in, sometimes they'll take the jigging presentation and sometimes they'll take a live minnow. But just soaking minnows under slip bobbers usually won't attract or catch as many perch as a more active jigging presentation.
