Late Season Goose. Where?

Early season was easy to scout. I'm guessing late season will be different as frozen water should concentrate the birds. As a rule, what have you all experienced in the past? Concentrate on area's with rivers or what do you recommend?

If you find open water with a good amount of birds, get there in the morning and follow them to the fields they are using. Right before the open season.

Your best bet will be to find any kind of open water as a starter and then try to find fields that the geese are currently using. Open water could be more difficult to find this year because of the colder weather, most of the lakes and rivers around St. Cloud are froze already. If you can find open water within 1 or 2 miles of a used field you should be sitting pretty good come December 8th.
