I thought the exact same thing. Thoughts of coming back to the perm house with some hot soup/stew lead me to purchase the thing. Now I use it for sauting mushrooms, onions, garlic,bacon, etc. instead of bringing a pan up. Unfortunately, unless you're right next to it stirring constantly, stuff will burn on the bottom. Kind of a bummer, a great idea with the propane as fuel.
