While hiking the shores of Lac Qui Parle lake I found some intersting drift wood, and roots that made for some good shots.

Thanks for sharing these, Paul. I like the last one best, the way the wood and water draw a diagonal line through the composition and the two distinct textures that creates. Nice.

Thanks Steve. I actually used to collect drift wood for a local artist when I was a young kid. He would pay anywere from $3.00 to $50.00 depeding on size, shape, color etc. I just never thought to take a picture of any till I tripped on one while walking on shore.

Driftwood has such character. Last one has the best composition IMO. Thanks for sharing.
