WhitefaceMan218
My son and I have been successful in securing permits for the last 3 years in Wisconsin. We are Minnesota residents. Has anyone had any success securing non-resident permits for the A, B or C seasons in Wisconsin? I had someone from the Wisconsin DNR tell me that non-residents will never get drawn for any of those first three seasons. Also, does anyone know if non-residents have access to the surplus tags that are sometimes available?
DonBo
As a non-resident, no, you probably will never be drawn for for the early seasons. I have had good luck applying for the weekend of the Wisconsin fishing opener. This seems be be the earliest you can hope for. Yes, you are eligible for the left over tags. bmc
I was told by one of my dad's archery rep's that non-residents in WI should apply for the last couple seasons. I took his advice last year, my first applying and drew a tag. My season started the Wed. before our fishing opener and ended that Sunday. Birds gobbling every morning, I just couldn't close the deal and missed the same gobbler 3 different times w/ my bow. Still a great time though and looking forward to trying it this spring...hopefully! Brian
