Scott M
Try LaCrosse. Check this out: Associated Press Story LA CROSSE, Wis. — Two boys trapping on their family's land near Fountain City in western Wisconsin snared a surprise: two bobcats in four days. Although bobcats are most often found in northern Wisconsin, sightings elsewhere have become more frequent in the past four years, said Kris Johansen, the Department of Natural Resources' wildlife biologist for Buffalo and Trempealeau counties. David Domine, 14, first thought he had a rabbit when he and his brother Joey checked their traps on Nov. 12. Then he realized it was a 10- to 15-pound bobcat. The boys' father, Wes Domine, called a local game warden, who brought Johansen out to help free the yearling cat. The next day, Johansen told Wes Domine that they should have collected DNA for an ongoing bobcat study. They got a second chance on Nov. 15 when Wes Domine checked the traps and found a full-grown bobcat. They took DNA samples and freed it. David and Joey Domine took in their traps for the deer hunting season. Wes Domine said they hope to get a coyote when they put them back out in a week or so. "Hopefully no more bobcats,'' he said. "We'd be happy just to let them be.''

Cooter
Just like bear, more demand than supply so you need pref points to get a tag. Been about 3 years wait the past few years.
walleye101
Interesting. They allow 5 cats each in MN with no limit on the number of hunters/trappers. Wouldn't think the population levels would be that different.
