Just wondering about the weather and ice. Planning on a trip to devils lake in late december or early january and would like to be able to drive on with a truck. Here in central minn it don't look to promising for ice for a while. Any info would greatly be appreciated.

So far things are the same here in ND. I would anticipate by mid January you should be good to go - but that's taking a stab in the dark at this point...

The weather has been like this the last couple of years and we have still always managed to be on the ice by early December. Last year we started driving a couple of days before Christmas. We are starting to get a lot of calls, it sound like everybody is excited about the great winter we had last year. Bring on the cold!
