Canon XT question.

I was asked a question by one of my clients yesterday and could not answer it for her. I am sure some one here can answer the question for me. I was showing her some B&W shots I took and she was asking me how to get her XT into B&W mode, I played around with it for a few mintues but could not find it in the menu's. Can anyone tell me how to do it so I may pass the info to my client.

Paul, you have to go into parameters, to change the processing to B & W. You have your choice of 1,2,3 or B & W.

XT is right on.

But it's best not to shoot in B&W mode. You never know if you're going to stumble on a situation that offers no time to adjust and needs color, so shoot in color and convert to B&W in post processing.

That is kinda what I suggested to switch it later in Photoshop. I did try the parameters thing when I set it to B&W it still shot in color. maybe I did not get it set properly. But when I went in to set it back the way it was it still said b&W. Dunno I guess, not my camera not too worried but I will give her a call and pass this on, thanks guys.
