Archery setback from houses, livestock structures?

I know its 500 feet for guns but I haven't seen anything for bows? Is it considered the same or is there any? I can't find anything in the regs?

I'm asking because I noted a sweet bow setup that would be probably be about 300-400 feet into the thick woods from our neighbor and our cabins.

Check with your township and county Sheriffs office.

There might be some specific local ordinances.

Its mroe about local ordinance. If there are not local laws then you could shoot off your deck if you didn't mind.

For a metro management hunt, I'm about 40yds from the house and maybe 20ft from the garage.

I live in Sherburne County, and the Sheriff told me I can sit on my deck and shoot geese flying over my house.

But, I cannot have friends over to do so. They would have to be 500 ft from my house and any other dwellings.

Seeing as I am the owner, the setbacks do not apply to me.

For our local hunt, they set the buffer at 400 ft. I thought that was in accordance with a DNR rule, but I dont see it in the regs. I suspect that would be a reasonable distance though.
