If you had to pick one lake.........

if you had to pick one lake in the wintertime to fish pike in the metro, what would it be. Also, what lake is the clearest with great populations. I have recieved some great information before, but just wanted to touch bases and see whats all out there. Thanks all for the help.

I usually go out to Jane in Oakdale just because it is close and everytime out I catch at least 3 pike. Set up the tip-up as soon as I get there and then walk back to the truck and as soon as I get back to the truck.....flag up! I am still waiting for one bigger than 2 lbs out there, but watching them on the camera and chasing flags all day is still fun for me. I think that Jane has the clearest with the most pike in it, but like I said before, I'm still waiting for the little ones to grow up.

Forest or WBL they both have good populations good size and a shot at a muskie through the ice which is a heck of a rush.

For me, no Question. Tonka. Just fish the weed pockets and move until they hit. They are some of the fattest Pike I've ever seen. My boys and I like to set one tip-up and bounce around the holes with a heavy rod and a flash lure. When they slam it, you had better have a good hold on the rod.
