Marsh Lake action?

Recommended Posts

For a bluebird day with no wind we did pretty well. It was really slow until about 10am, 1 bluebill and one bufflehead. No mallards showed interest but there were flocks everywhere. Really high though. About 10:15 the mallards started coming back from feeding and there were a few flocks that were really looking to land in the dekes. We wound up with 5 greenheads, 1 bluebill and 1 bufflehead. I personally shot like a first timer. I should have had 2 geese and a couple more greenheads. Oh yeah, I missed the bufflehead as he went north and I missed him again when he came back south. blush.gif My buddy put him down. If I would have gotten him he'd be going on the wall.

If you go don't bail out to early. Stick it out until noon if you can. The mallards went out and back in at all times of the morning. The last two greenheads we shot at 11:45.
