duck hunting rivers?

new to the sport ! wondering if people ever hunt the big miss for ducks and geese or any other rivers?

I personally don't hunt the river, but I know that people do and that they can be real good. I lived in IL for a couple of years, and hunted rivers then. It was real good, the river itself as well as the back waters.

O yea, i love hunting on the Mississippi. We get lots of good shooting on the river.. Find a sandbar or smaller islands were there is some rice and the birds are probably going to be hanging out near that.
