Duck??

For those curious as to whats up on Vermilion, saw a few ducks this morning with mostly bills present but had our first flock of goldeneyes come whistling in and 4 buffels also. Hope this isn't the sign saying we are on the downhill slide already. Almost more musky fisherman than ducks

I was checked by the CO when I came off the lake last weekend and he said that he has been checking more fishermen than he has hunters... Strange for this time of the year. I suppose once the weather turns a little more there will be one last day for the fair weather hunters to come out ;-) Have a good one and N Joy the Hunt././Jimbo

A good cold push could do us all a favor. Keep the fair weather hunters home, get some migrants around, and finally get to wear some of this (Contact Us Please) cold weather gear we all spend so much money on. Nothing worse that sweating you arse off in a pari of 800 Gram waders.

I hunted back home this weekend on the Canadian border. Three of us shot out limit of greater scaup on saturday, other than that only very few ringers, mallards, and buffies around.
