Drift control tournament series?

sparkyaber

Question

I was thinking about buying a tournament drift sock, made by Drift Control. I think it would be pretty helpful to have the option of opening and closing the hole at the end, thus letting you control the speed of the drift better. Anybody out there used one? Know anything about them?

Thanks

I have used the drift control and Cabelas Advanced Angler brand. I like the Cabelas one much better. The Cabelas sock seems to not get tangled up as much and open easier than the drift control one. The open close option is nice, but I baught 3 different size Cabelas ones for different wind speeds/applications. For me the drift control sock was always getting tangled up or turned inside out making it a pain to use in the high wind and big waves. Cabelas sock seems to be made of thicker material and holds its shape. I would check them out also.

Just my 2 cents,

Matt

I have an Advanced Angler (42" I believe" and a Drift control (54" I believe) and both seem to be pretty good but IMO the Drift control is a better unit. I usually use both at the same time and have never tangles either and if they are set out correctly you won't have issues with them opening.
